About Us

Psych Reads was founded in the summer of 2022 as an Instagram page to connect psychiatry residents with a focused platform for daily psychiatry updates and genuine information beneficial for everyday clinics and rounds. It was the first instance in India where a medium exclusively for psychiatry residents concerning academics was made available. “Where learning is an Active process.”

The main idea of starting Psych Reads was to fulfil the lacuna that has been existing in our field. In the summer of 2023, an online discussion group was established to discuss significant topics on weekly basis. It currently comprises over 2000 residents, and not a week has elapsed since then without the occurrence of some case or topic discussion, quizzes, trivia, etc. ​

This group is a landmark in the sense that it was first of its kind available for residents.​ To help the residents in India "Psych Reads" was started and has grown to a family of more than 4500 residents overall.

A learning platform for psychiatry residents, positioned as a “one-stop destination” with an active-learning philosophy and lifetime-learning intent.
